NOTE: Prepare solutions with reverse osmosis deionized (RODI) or equivalent grade water.
NOTE: When including fluorescent cellular dyes in your experiment (including viability dyes, DNA dyes, etc.), please refer to the dye product page for the recommended protocol. Visit www.cellsignal.com for a full listing of cellular dyes validated for use in flow cytometry.
NOTE: Count cells using a hemocytometer or alternative method.
NOTE: If using whole blood, lyse red blood cells and wash by centrifugation prior to immunostaining.
NOTE: Human Fc receptors cross-react with rabbit IgG. When cells of interest express high levels of Fc receptor protein (for example, macrophage/monocyte lineages), pre-incubate live cells with human Fc block prior to immunostaining with rabbit antibodies.
NOTE: Optimal centrifugation conditions will vary depending upon cell type and reagent volume. Generally, 150-300g for 1-5 minutes will be sufficient to pellet the cells.

This monoclonal antibody was purified from tissue culture supernatant via affinity chromatography. The purified antibody was conjugated under optimal conditions, with unreacted dye removed from the preparation.
The TER-119 antigen, also known as Ly-76, is a cell-surface molecule which is strongly associated with glycophorin A. TER-119 is an erythroid cell lineage marker detected on bone marrow cells, spleen cells, yolk sac cells, fetal liver cells, and newborn liver cells (1,2). TER-119 is found on erythroid cells at all stages of differentiation, but is not associated with erythroid blast-forming unit (BFU-E) or erythroid colony-forming unit (CFU-E) activities (1).
The TER-119 antibody is widely used as an erythroid cell lineage marker to detect the cell types listed above (1,3).
