Arts Support Programs

Commitment to the Arts

Michael Aghahowa with some of his many self-portraits he created while attending Raw Art Works (RAW). Located in Lynn, Massachusetts, RAW provides free art therapy-based programming to hundreds of young people in the community every year. It’s a place where youth build trusting relationships, learn to express themselves through art, and make plans for the future.

Science and art are both intimately connected and universal languages. You need to think creatively to inspire new science and truly innovate. CST values this relationship and helps to foster it through our Arts Support Programs.

Recent Grant Award: Art of Science Program

Through our community philanthropy, CST funded the Art of Science grant program which encourages student interest in Life Science careers through art. It benefits about 50 students each year, with a focus on underrepresented communities on Boston’s North Shore. Montserrat College in Beverly hosts the presentations and hands-on workshops that explore how art and design integrate with the Life Sciences in the professional world.

Promoting Artists Globally and at CST

We invite professional global artists to show their work in rotating exhibitions to spark creativity and connect with our internal community. Informal “art talks” also take place during the artist receptions, allowing the artist to discuss their work and the creative processes that inspire their art.

We also encourage our own talented employees to show their work (paintings, collage, photography, music, and dance) to inspire each other and create bonds to strengthen our work culture. CST has curated a collection of work created by local artists, which is displayed in our facilities for employees to enjoy.
